A couple months ago, Joey and I decided it was time for us to become home owners so we got preapproved for a mortgage and met with our realtor. We looked at several town homes in a few different cities and finally found the town house we really liked.

When Joey and I were discussing what we liked about this town house our conversation looked something like this:

Joey: I really like that it has three bedrooms.

Janene: and the laundry room is upstairs.

Joey: It has a great view from the deck.

Janene: and the laundry room is upstairs.

Joey: It’s close to the freeway so my commute to work shouldn’t be too bad.

Janene: and the laundry room is upstairs.

Joey: Enough with the laundry room already!

Janene: That’s going to be the title of my blog post.

(I think he got sick of me reminding him that the laundry room was upstairs – that obviously wasn’t a selling point for him.)

After several hours of paperwork and going back and forth, it looks like we will be closing next Friday!

I am excited for this next step in our lives but scared at the same time. We have been saving for over a year to buy a house and now our savings account will be a lot smaller. However, God has blessed us financially during this whole process and I am so grateful!

Buying a house is very time consuming. I’ve been wanting to post this entry a week ago but I don’t seem to have as much free time anymore. I will post pictures of our new place as soon as we get the keys (and I can find the time to blog!).

Coco’s front paws were declawed today.

We get to bring her home on Saturday and I am not quite sure if Pumpkin misses her yet or realizes that she’s coming back. This should be interesting.

Yesterday my good friends Tracy and Clark got married. I am so happy for them and excited that they finally tied the knot!

They had a beautiful wedding at a local reception center. Tracy asked me to come early and help set up for the reception and I actually had a lot of fun doing it. I wonder if I should have been a wedding planner? Just kidding!
