It makes me happy and sad to write this post. I can’t believe my baby is a year old already.

What an amazing year it has been.

Thank you Grandma O, Opa, Grandma Day, Grandfather, Aunt Christene & Aunt Kathlene for all that you have done for E and us. E is lucky to have such great family in his life (and so are we)!

I can’t believe my baby turned 1 today!

I almost forgot to take pictures of him with the bear so don’t mind the messy shirt. This was probably the hardest photo shoot – maybe because he’s 1 and/or it was right after dinner. Who knows?

We saw Dr. Pete today and he said that E looks great! Here are his 12 month stats:

Height: 27.5″ (<3%)
Weight: 19lbs 3oz (6%)
Head: 45.0cm (15%)

Some new things E is doing this month:

• Can stand alone without support
• Will take steps to a desired item or person
• Will turn around to get down from the couch, my lap or a step
• Eats anything we let him
• Drinks whole milk
• LOVES holding electronic things – cell phones, remote controls. Gets mad when we take them away.
• Will get mad and grab his shirt and/or throw things
• Chases Pumpkin and likes to “pet” her
• Laughs when we tell him “No!”
• Still loves to read books. Especially likes books that have stuff to touch and feel
• Has two teeth on the top (and will sometimes grind his teeth)
• Still enjoys playing peek-a-boo

Joey suggested I continue to take pictures of E with the bear every month. What do you think?

Tonight we celebrated E’s birthday with family. There were 117 photos/videos on the camera and I chose this one for today’s post because it shows how happy he was.

He definitely was spoiled. What a great day!

I have been thinking that E has been teething – he’s been a little more fussy, drooling like crazy and having low grade temperatures – and today I finally found a tooth coming through his top gums and here is the evidence:

Bite marks in his crib! On the bottom and TOP of the side of his crib. Seriously?!

Today I picked up my first Bountiful Basket at 7 AM this morning. A little early to get up on a Saturday (when I don’t have to work and when E is still sleeping) but I am happy with what I got.

Fruit: bananas, cantelope, pineapple, 2 containers of blackberries, 6 fugi apples, 12 plums

Veggies: spinach, cabbage, 6 tomatoes, 2 cucumbers, 12 mini peppers, celery, lettuce

That’s a lot of food for 2 1/2 people but I definitely plan on getting another basket (and possibly sharing with someone).
