I’ve had these plants for a year and a half and they have been looking pretty sad lately

Actually. It’s kind of embarrassing to show that that was in my house and that I did that to the plants But, in my defense, I have to keep them up high so the cats and curious little hands don’t find them which means they are not in the most convenient place to water or take care of them.

I was kind of sick of looking at them so I decided to buy some new plants today (with some fertilizer hoping that will help the stay alive) and I can try this again.

I really don’t need one more thing to take care of, but I think I can manage two little houseplants. Especially since I do aspire to have a green thumb some day.

Painting a wall red is not easy

After 5 coats I think we are done. Next we need to remove the tape and hopefully not any paint with it. Kind of nervous but excited to be so close to being done!

The sink

I replaced the towel rack and light above the mirror. Unfortunately one of the glass fixtures was broken so I need to get it replaced.

The shower

I didn’t take a very good before picture to match the after picture I took but you get the idea.

I also bought a cabinet so I can have more counter space. It’s smaller than I wanted but it will do.

What do you think? I love it and am so glad it’s done!

I got a lot done today! I cleaned up all the paper and tape, touched up the walls, taped again, painted the trim white, removed more tape and cleaned up a little. Then my Dad came over and put together my new (small) cabinet. It didn’t come with any directions so I am glad he knew what he was doing. It’s smaller than I was hoping for but it will do. He also hung my new light and towel racks and put the door back on.

Tomorrow I will clean up the bathroom and organize my stuff. Then I can post pictures of the completely finished bathroom!

Today I took E to Grandma’s house so I could paint the walls “Pecan Sandie”. It took me two hours to do the first coat and I didn’t have enough time to do the second coat before I needed to pick him up so Joey helped me do the second coat after we put E to bed. It only took us an hour and it wasn’t too crowded with two people in the bathroom (plus a ladder and a cat).

I am hoping we can sleep with the paint smell

Coco got brave when Joey was helping me and started climbing the ladder too. Luckily they didn’t get near the paint. Silly cats.

While I was working, Christene taped everything off and put paper up. I think that’s the hardest part and am so glad she was willing to help me.

Ignore the tape falling off the ceiling. I’ll take care of that tomorrow when I start painting.
