E started attacking her the minute we got home. I sure hope this doesn’t continue or I’m afraid E may learn his lesson the hard way (i.e., Pumpkin bites him).
Today I took E to Grandma’s house so I could paint the walls “Pecan Sandie”. It took me two hours to do the first coat and I didn’t have enough time to do the second coat before I needed to pick him up so Joey helped me do the second coat after we put E to bed. It only took us an hour and it wasn’t too crowded with two people in the bathroom (plus a ladder and a cat).
I am hoping we can sleep with the paint smell
Here’s a picture of Pumpkin supervising the painting
Coco got brave when Joey was helping me and started climbing the ladder too. Luckily they didn’t get near the paint. Silly cats.
E had fun “helping” Opa install a gate at the top of the stairs
When we stood him up at the gate he talked and talked and was having fun. I wonder what he’ll think of the gate when he really wants to get downstairs.
I was worried about the cats and the gate but Pumpkin squeezed under the gate to get to the other side. I wonder what Coco will do? Cats are funny.
I think I can say the cats have fully adjusted to having E around. They no longer run away when he’s screaming and they actually will let E “pet” them.
Lately though, they have kept us entertained. The other night when Joey was folding E’s clothes, Pumpkin decided to jump in the dryer which she has never done before. Too funny. Then Coco decided to check it out but was to scared to jump in. Here is a video Joey took:
Then last night, Coco walked past the automatic soap dispenser in Joey’s bathroom and got soap all over her tail. Luckily Joey and I were both standing there and Joey held her down while I rinsed her tail off. That was not fun. When we finally let her down, she didn’t know what to think of her tail and I hurried and got the camera so Joey could get a video.
After several minutes, she finally laid down. Maybe because she was so dizzy? Haha.
Joey put the crib together this week and the cats had a fun time “helping”. I helped hold pieces and I took some pictures along the way. We bought the crib from a friend for $50. Don’t worry, I did my research and there were no recalls for this model.
Here’s the crib in pieces:
Coco loves to climb on things and the crib was no exception.
Pumpkin even decided to join her in the climbing:
They also decided to jump in the crib and test it out. I think we are going to be in trouble when the baby needs to sleep in it.
Here it is all put together without any cats in it:
I am looking forward to getting the nursery all put together but we are quickly running out space. More pictures to come as we get more things.
On Memorial Day, we were working on the roof and needed to get in the attic a couple of times and Pumpkin just had to check it out. Silly cat! She’s always in the middle of what we are doing.
