Homemade Vanilla Extract

I recently saw a blog post for making your own vanilla extract so I thought I would give it a try. It was really easy to make.

I decided to make enough to give people as gifts so it ended up being a little more expensive than I was expecting. I am hoping the end product is worth it.

Today I got an email from Picknik that said:

I use Picnik to edit my pictures before posting them on my blog or facebook.

I am not sure why my computer won’t rotate pictures correctly. It drives me crazy and is really not worth posting when they are upside down.

Opa!

E recently started calling my dad “Pa”

Poor Grandma feels left out when he goes around the room labels everyone but her.

Some quick Opa stories:

He recently pointed to the picture of Jesus hanging in his room and said “Pa!”. I explained to him that that was Jesus. Maybe he was confused because they both have beards?

The other day he didn’t want to put his coat on to go to Grandma’s house but when I said “We’re going to go see Opa”, he quickly put his arm out for me to put his coat on.

He loves his Opa!
